Patience Adesominu, a 17 years old Nigerian.Founder of Teens Discuss;a platform for teenagers around the world to come together virtually to discuss world issues,learn and connect with each other while finding solution the problems.
She and her co-founder ;Peace Timothy created this organization with the intention of giving teenagers the platform that enables them to develop their communication skills,have a community of people who understand, connect and also collaborate on finding solutions to global problems.
The organization addresses issues like self discovery, self esteem,self worth, passion, purpose, identifying your calling as a teenager as well as talking about depression, teenage struggles, wins and losses in life and also sharing opportunities for schooling, inventions, advocacy and growth.
To achieve this, the program have a podcast channel and a YouTube channel where we invite guest speakers to talk about different topics.
This platform helps with empathy and connections like never before. Also,teenagers that get featured on these videos are as normal as any other and these conversations help in boosting self esteem, awareness, confidence in front of camera but most importantly gives them a place to voice out their emotions, opinions and make their voice heard.
Currently, with over 10 team members, five ambassadors and several teenagers who often join on each conversation. They are currently expanding the network and audience.
Apart from being a founder of this organization,I am also passionate about animal rights,body positivity, mental health, climate change and sustainability.I am a 2021 finalist of "Rise scholarship program and also an ambassador of thred media.
She also have interest in extracurricular activities such as singing,baking,story writing and tutoring.
